Voyagers Co-Op Guidelines

Voyagers was started over 18 years ago to enrich the education of school-age children by offering classes where children can learn together in a fun, Christian environment.

Our goal is to foster a Christ-centered group of families who desire to teach their children to love the Lord while providing engaging educational classes, interaction with peers, and connection with other homeschool families.

We are a homeschool cooperative (co-op) within the Eagle’s Nest Christian Homeschool Educator’s Association (ENCHEA).

Voyagers is for children and parents. A parent from each family participates by either teaching or assisting in a class each semester. Parents are encouraged to teach an interesting class that will supplement the homeschool education of the children in their class. Because we are all gifted in unique and various ways, we each have something that we can offer our children to enhance their education.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10

Our Classes:

Voyagers offers a variety of fun and educational classes.

Previous classes have included: Presidents and Constitution, Sports and Games, Natural Disasters, Pioneer Life, Robotics, Presidential Campaigns Rock, Native Americans, Exploring Space, American Girl, Drama, Ancient Egypt, Delving into Dogs, Creative Storytelling, Jewelry Making, Fun with French, Grossology, Engineering Marvels and Disasters, Recorder Karate, Paper Art Engineering, Creative Movement, and many, many more.

All classes are taught from a Christian perspective. The classes we offer vary each semester.

We have two semesters each school year. Each semester we meet once a week for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 12:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.

721 Shenandoah Blvd, Newnan GA 30265
(Corner of Lower Fayetteville Road and Shenandoah Blvd)

Annual Fee – A $45 Annual Family Fee is paid by all families. This fee covers both semesters of Voyagers. Payment of this fee is due to reserve your spot in Voyagers.
Class Fees – Class fees are collected before each semester. They typically range from $5-$15 per class per student to cover the cost of supplies (books, arts and crafts, snacks, etc.) for each class.

Format: Classes are divided by age groups so that our students can enjoy fun, age-appropriate activities with children their own age. Parents and their children can sign up for their preferred classes each semester, although class placement is done on a first-come, first-serve basis through our online class registration process. Parents teach or assist in a class one hour. The other hour, they enjoy fellowship over lunch with other Voyagers parents.

Daily Schedule:

  • 12:20 – 12:45       Arrival time
  • 12:50 – 1:15         Assembly and announcements
  • 1:20 – 2:15           First hour of classes
