There are many good curriculum options to help you homeschool your child with excellence! Many of our parents recommend Cathy Duffy Reviews to help parents find great homeschool materials. While many of our veteran homeschool parents are happy to share what has worked (or not worked) for their children, Eagle’s Nest does not require or recommend that families use a specific curriculum. The only exception would be the use of curriculum selected by tutors for Eluminatus classes.

Thankfully, it is very simple to homeschool in the State of Georgia.

You can find information about state homeschooling requirements on the Georgia Department of Education website. Another helpful resource is the HSLDA website, which has detailed information about homeschool laws by state.

Yes. The fee is $150/year per family (Begins June 1st for the academic year) or $75 per family (for January - May).

The EN Membership Fee is applied toward the cost of administration for ENCHEA and covers all general expenses incurred for our organization. Any family that participates in EN programs or activities must be a member of Eagle’s Nest. $150/year per family (Begins June 1st for the academic year) or $75 per family (January to May).

There is an annual fee of $80/year per family (before June 1st).  There is a $100 late registration fee (after June 1st).  Class fees vary by class and tutor.

Class Fees - Tuition is determined by the tutor and noted in the course description. Tuition is paid monthly from August to April or yearly in August.

In order to participate in any EN program, you must first be a member of Eagle’s Nest. The current annual membership fee is $150 per family.

EN membership for each year begins on June 1 and ends on May 31 of the following year. Once you submit a membership application, please allow 5-7 business days for a response. If your application is accepted, you will be notified by email with instructions for submitting payment for the membership fee. An interview may be required as part of the application process.

Eagle’s Nest is dedicated to promoting a welcoming, loving, nurturing environment where all students will grow in their relationship with Jesus while assisting their families with the home education of their children. This includes the growing number of Eagle’s Nest families that are choosing to home educate children with medical, learning, developmental, and other challenges. Students with unique challenges are accepted into Eagle’s Nest programs on a case by case basis. In order to be successful, communication and parental involvement are essential. It is the policy of Eagle’s Nest for the parent of a student with unique challenges to contact the board and the director of the individual program before enrollment in an Eagle’s Nest program. Ensuring reasonable expectations, cooperation, and clear communication will enable success for the student, family, and everyone at Eagle’s Nest.

In 1987, a group of 10-15 families began to meet together in Coweta County to support one another in their homeschooling efforts. At that time, homeschooling had only been legal in Georgia for about 3 years. They didn’t have an official name initially, but in 1988, the group was named “Eagle’s Nest” based on the acronym “EAGLE” which stood for “Education Administered in a Godly Learning Environment”. Back then Art, Spanish, Music, and P.E. classes were the only ones offered. Today, the group serves about 200 families and offers so much more, but our basic purpose is still the same–to support one another in our effort to glorify God through homeschooling our children.
